Masters of Education
2018: Year One
A huge focus of the first year of the masters program was on community-based arts practices. It was a great opportunity to get to know the members of the cohort through collaboratively creating.

For my personal studio explorations I revisited manual drafting techniques and model construction.
In a way, I focused on the "E," "A," and "M" of STEAM.

2019: Year Two
In the second year of the program, we dove more into research and resource gathering for our intended foci, and explored digital media programs.

For my personal studio exploration, I developed a video game storyline and series of characters based on members of a group exhibit assignment while learning some basics of coding and video game development as another opportunity for STEAM and transdisciplinary education.
In keeping with the collaborative spirit, my character design drawings were completed by the artist they were based on, in their unique styles and incorporated into our group exhibition.

My focus this year was on the "T" of STEAM.

2020: Year Three
This was an unusual year as we continued working on our Masters of Education degree. While I had intended on diving more into the "S" of STEAM with a class of grade 3 students in a colour inquiry unit, I was unable to continue due to the switch to remote learning.

Much time was spent researching and reading about STEAM, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary education. Artwork created during this year, related to my research topic are limited to examples of projects.
